Oklahoma City (February 1, 2010) - In the latest filings with the Federal Elections Commission, Republican candidate Kevin Calvey extended his lead in total receipts, and has more cash available to spend than any other candidate.
Calvey showed total receipts of $188,205 for the quarter ending December 31, 2009. Total receipts for the campaign stand at $607,649.63. That figure includes $200,000 in loans from the candidate.
In the most critical measurement of a campaign’s financial viability, Calvey again leads the field with $527,986.21 in available cash-on-hand. The next-closest candidate reports only $368,886.53 in available cash-on-hand.
“I continue to be humbled by the generous support my campaign has received,” said Calvey. “I’ve received donations from Americans of all walks of life. The one thing they all have in common is that they support my mission to take our country back from the liberal special interests that are increasing our national debt and trying to socialize our healthcare system.”
Kevin Calvey is a small businessman and a conservative former State Representative from Del City. Kevin volunteered to deploy to Iraq as a Captain in the Army National Guard in 2007, and his mission in Iraq was to prosecute al Qaeda leaders and other terrorists in the Iraqi court system. Kevin was awarded the Bronze Star Medal for his service. Kevin and his wife, Toni, live in Oklahoma City with their baby, Anastasia.
